Overall goal of position: The Database developer will work within a team of database developers on maintaining and enhancing systems. This person will work in conjunction with other IT/Development/Scrum and Business groups to understand functionality, scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements from the database perspective. Writing technical specification and transforming requirements into functional, scalable and reusable software components. Main tasks of position: - Implement and maintain Database SW modules(s) within company wide scope and also for internal projects. Ensure that each software module meets the requirements and is bug-free by high quality coding, unit and integration testing.
- Ensure the processing and timely completion of daily business tasks in cooperation with the entire db development team - support developers in data retrieving tasks, SQL tuning, Database Design, Data Maintenance, Database Security and Requirements Analysis
- Conceptual work (analysis, Data Modeling, design documents) to support the venture process during detailed investigation and to support release teams during the production process.
- Ensure that non functional db requirements are met - e.g. coding standards, proper documentation of data structures and stored procedures, versioning of database objects (svn).
Provide documentation for repeated business critical tasks (eg. new base data definition) - Increase domain knowledge
- Enhance technical knowledge and software development skills
Job Requirements:
- technical A-level degree / matura or technical school > 3 years
OR
> 5 years job experience within a big company, SW development and DB / backend implementation focus and other job specific education,
- > 1 year DB / backend implementation in a high load, high available environment or > 3 year SW development with some DB background, frontend / application logic implementation
- ER Modelling and Datadesign,
Oracle PL/SQL or Microsoft TSQL,
db development tools (TOAD, Management Studio),
any other 3rd generation programming language or framework,
SQL,
case tools (designer, erwin),
db tuning, tracing, monitoring,
know how to do a smooth rollout,
- highly motivated to learn and develop technical skills,
